What is Breast Cancer?

Cancer of the breast is the most frequent malicious (malignant) tumor illness in the western world.
The word tumor comes from latin and means “swelling”. If the cell of an organ or a fabric is damaged, that can influence on the heiress formation have and these change. A tumor cell so called develops. This atypical cell begins to get out of control. It divides and increases without brakes. Thus the changed heiress formation is passed on, and a tumor, a malicious tumor develops.
The growth of malicious cells, which cause cancer of the breast, proceeds mostly from the cells of the milk courses. Only a small percentage of the carcinomas develops in the gland small cloths. The cancer cells grow and strike the healthy fabric. Also cancer cells from the tumor can become detached and penetrate into the bloodstream or into the Lymph system.
The cancer of the breast arises mostly on one side and strikes prefers the left chest. Grow approximately 60 per cent of the malicious tumors within the upper outside range of the chest, thus in the part, which is next the shoulder cave.
Beside the malicious (malignant) tumors of the chest there is also good-like (benigne). These can proceed for example from the connective tissue (fibromas) or with the fatty tissue (Lipome). Also Cysts, with liquid filled cavities in the fabric, rank among the good-like illnesses. A good-like change is not cancer. Approximately three quarters of all breast tumors are good-like and can usually problem-free be eliminated.
