Not Fish, Not Meat

The consumption of fish and its positive effects on heart and containers were considered long time as proven. Researchers disproved the allegedly benediction-rich effect now.

Some humans force themselves to eating regularly fish even if they do not estimate the taste particularly and hate fish bones. They have however the good feeling to do something for their health if they feed the fin animals.
Particularly heart and containers are to remain by the consumption of fish longer open and flexible, which is led back on the high content of the animals at long-chain fatty acids. Of fish Netherlands researchers destroy the common people faith in the benediction-rich effects now with an investigation in the current expenditure of the European journal OF Heart failure (on-line). Therefore humans, who eat regularly fish, are not protected by this nourishing habit against heart weakness.
“No hard scientific proofs”
“Scientists and health authorities are increasingly convinced of the fact that fish – in small quantity before infarcts”, says Marianne Geleinjse already protects, the main authoress of the study. “There are however no hard scientific proofs for it, and we could not confirm the December ducks of references from earlier studies.”
The Netherlands researcher team had included more than 5000 older inhabitants of a suburb of Rotterdam into their investigation and had long observed on the average twelve years. In this period developed of 669 participants of the investigation heart weakness. It made however no difference whether and how the test persons took much fish to itself. From the test persons, which did not eat a fish, of 1000 at heart weakness, under which those took occasionally fish to itself, was it suffered 11 12 of 1000. Even under the participants, who ate daily fish, 10 got heart weakness of 1000. With diabetics the protecting effect was more strongly pronounced, but not statistically significant.
Always healthier than meat
“Twice fish will eat in the week from many physicians and institutions to the prevention of infarcts recommended, particularly fat fish such as salmon, mackerel, and herring stands on such bills of fare”, says Geleinjse. “Even if we could discover no protection for the heart, I to the nourishing advice would hold, there fish not only fatty acids, but also vitamin contains D and selenium and as good source of protein serves.” Healthier than red meat always is fish, says Geleinjse.
