AIDS: Spread of HIV is Halted

Good news for current status report of the United Nations for the global AIDS epidemic: The spread of HIV has apparently come to a standstill.
The success is reportedly mainly due to improved awareness measures and the increased use of condoms. “We can be proud of the achievements,” says Michel Sidibé, Executive Director of the UN AIDS Programme (UNAIDS). “But we are not in a position where we can say: Mission Accomplished”
